We understand that councillors need a space where they can develop essential communication and compliance skills at their own pace, whenever and wherever it suits them.
A place that provides practical, councillor-focused training and resources tailored to their unique responsibilities.
We are therefore delighted to introduce Council Hive for Councillors, an exclusive online training hub to empower councillors to build and refresh their skills in a flexible, on-demand format.
Starting in late February 2025, parish and town councillors will have unlimited access to the new Council Hive for Councillors Hub, at no extra cost!
When the Council Hive for Councillors Hub goes live, you can choose to give your councillors access to self-paced, bitesize learning in key communication and compliance areas, including:

Appropriate use of Social Media for Councillors
Staying Safe Online as a Councillor
Dealing with Difficult People and Conversations
Chairmanship and Leadership Skills

Throughout 2025 we will regularly add new councillor training courses and resources, along with exclusive webinars and masterclasses designed to meet their needs.
This brand new feature will now be included as standard as part of Council Hive membership.
All you have to do is confirm which of the initial courses and resources you would like councillors to have access to.
Once you've completed the form (it will take you less than two minutes), we'll give you access to a registration link for you to share with your councillors.
Our hope is this additional service will help to ensure that councillors (just like officers) have access to genuinely useful, high quality, bitesize training that they can access any time, any where.
